Lone Tree

This is an iconic tree I’ve photographed many times because it always makes such a bold statement. The constantly changing weather and sky provide an ever-shifting backdrop, ensuring it’s always a compelling subject. Interestingly, from most other angles, the tree appears twiggy and unremarkable—something you might not give a second glance.

It’s only when you view it from the lake’s edge that its true beauty is revealed in full glory. This highlights the importance of exploring a subject from all angles when photographing. A simple shift in perspective can completely transform the way we see and appreciate something.
